Seniors Dating
by Rod Jones
A 'senior', by definition, is a person older than yourself or, more broadly speaking, an older member of
society. 'Dating', by definition refers to the courtship between two people - which is often romantic - who are
either hoping or not hoping to get married.
So, 'seniors dating' refers to the romantic courtship between two persons who are considered older members of
society, or the romantic courtship of two persons where at least one partner is an older member of society. When
referring to 'senior', this doesn't necessarily mean that the person must be over the age of perhaps - 60
years of age. People of over the age of, for instance, 40 years are also thought of as 'seniors', as people are
believed to live 'three score years and ten' (70 years), half of which is 35.
Depending which of the various senior dating services you visit, especially when using online senior
dating agencies, the age group targeted may vary. However, generally speaking. 'senior dating' is designed for
those who are over 40 years of age.
Seniors dating gives seniors, who could be divorced, widowed or still single, an opportunity to meet people of
the same age group and to share ideas and interests or, if a deeper bond is created between the two, a more
meaningful relationship. This allows seniors to enjoy their life, just as they did when they were a bit
younger, which is why, there are different kinds of senior dating services offered on the Internet
targetting slightly different age groups.
The clients' profiles in many of these these senior dating services, which are of course intended for seniors,
do not often hold photographs in them, which gives those who have uploaded their photos an immediate advantage.
Some people are apparently too worried about what they look like to add their picture. Furthermore, some of
these senior dating agencies offer additional services such as anonymous email, instant messaging, chat rooms and
forums.
When you use these online senior dating agencies, you should be able to find new local friends, and communicate
with each other appropriately, so that likely friends or even partners can be found. Additionally, if you are
meeting outside the online website, you should be sure that the meeting is in a public place - especially if you
are meeting one another for the very first time and do not know each other all that well.
Another precaution you could take, would be to tell someone you trust where you are going and with whom.
However, if, for any reason during the meeting, you begin to feel uneasy with the person you are with, just be
polite and go home.
Although these precautions and safety measures might be general knowledge, it is wise to repeat them again
here, since it is better to be safe than sorry. You would do well to stick to them as well.
In this way, senior dating will prove to be a successful and safe method of allowing those who are divorced,
widowed or have children, to be able to reconstruct their lives and enjoy friendship with members of the opposite
sex again.
